What is salonspy?

salonspy is an online platform that is a review and directory service specifically tailored to the beauty, hair, and wellness industry.

Salonspy allows clients to share their experiences and rate services at salons, spas, and other beauty-related businesses. salonspy focuses on transparency and accountability in the industry by enabling potential customers to make informed decisions based on real user reviews.

Connecting to Google Reviews

Once you have the email address that is linked to the Google My Business account you can get started. Linking to your Google My Business account allows for the pulling and pushing of data.

Once you have access to the email address, head to your salonspy dashboard, find you progress bar and choose Option 2 Increase Google Reviews and then click on Connect Google Business.

Then choose the account linked to your Google Reviews and then allow salonspy.com so that it can push and pull the data.

You then need to select an account in case you have multiple locations so that you link the current salon to the the correct Google Business page once chosen click Link Account.

At midnight all your data will be imported from Google ready for you to reply to your Google Reviews from your salonspy dashboard and your salonspy reviews will be able to be pushed through to Google.

Adding pictures to your profiles

It's really important to have strong imagery in your salonspy profile to showcase your salon to make it look inviting and enticing to prospective clients

There are two galleries, one displaying as many captivating images of your salon as you can muster the other names 'Our Work' showcases your latest cuts, colours or beauty treatments.

To set these up you need to:

Head to your salonspy Dashboard
Edit Profile
There are two options, Salon Details and Imagery
Click Imagery and enter all the wonderful images of your salon.
At the bottom of the page you will see the Our Work Gallery when you can add pictures of your hair and beauty treatments.

Team Engagement Emails

Head to the Team tab along the top of the dashboard and you will find a list of all your team members down the left of the screen. If you add the team members email address to their team member profile and OPT in and Save.

Now each time that team member is mentioned in a positive review, salonspy will email a copy of that positive review to the team member.

Carousel Widget

Sharing your reviews to your website is super important. Once a client is on your website you need to make sure that all the information that they'll be seeking is available including reviews.

You don't want to have to constantly upload these yourself and thats where the Carousel Widget comes in. It is a rotating device that will show your latest twenty 5* reviews automatically.

To set this up:

Head to your salonspy dashboard
Widgets tab at the top
We recommend the Carousel option rather than The Badge option as it way more impactful
Copy and paste the code the Code box over the right and give that your web designer to position directly on your webpage.

Reply.with.AI

It's really important to reply to your clients reviews to show how seriously you take customer service.

Having said that, replying to all the reviews is a time consuming process and that's where Reply with AI lends a digital hand.

AI Tool with read the context of the review and it will generate a personalised response back to your client for you.

To activate this:

Head to your Reviews tab
Find a review you wish to reply to and click Reply
You will then have to option to write your own response or you can use AI to respond for you. The AI tool will use keywords to help with SEO (Search Engine Optimisation).
It will take about 3-4 seconds and it will generate a great personalised response with correct grammar and spelling.

Create images for social media

Once you have really nice imagery in your profile, showcasing your salon. You can take that imaginary and merge then with your reviews to produce nice assets for your social media.

In your salonspy dashboard, head to the Reviews section. Find a review you wish to turn into a Social Media post. Under the heading Image choose Create over to the right for the review you wish to use, the system will take that review and merge it with the background image of the salon into a really nice post you can save and share to your Instagram, Facebook or whichever social media platform you are using.

If you feel the wish to change the length of the review or take a bit out, you have that ability. You can change the background image and you also switch between a dark version or a light version.

It pulls through really important information like, the date of the review and how many reviews you have.
