How to use Client Mode in SalonIQ

If you are planning a housekeeping exercise to check your clients contact information is up to date & correct, you can use Client Mode within your SalonIQ system to do so.

You can use Client Mode in SalonIQ to help capture client and update email addresses & phone numbers. You can use this feature in different ways:
  • In-salon tablet - hand the tablet to the client for them to update & save changes
  • Let your client scan a QR code
  • Send your client a link to update from their phone by SMS or Email

Simply go to the clients record card and you will see a client mode button in the top right corner;

Use Proceed to Client Mode if using a salon tablet
Use SMS to send an SMS link to a clients phone (standard SMS fees will apply). This will allow your client to complete their client record card on their own device.
Use Email to send link via email to the client (free of charge), this will enable the client to complete their details on their own device.
The customer can also scan the QR code on your screen with their mobile phone camera.

Once any of the above have been actioned, your client will see their record card including any completed forms and can check / update their details as they wish and click save, this will then update your system on any device. 

Using a tablet is safe and secure and will default back to the SalonIQ log in screen as soon as the customer has saved their changes. The client will NOT have access to any other part of your system.

We recommend for you to carry out this exercise four times per year (once per quarter). This will ensure the data you hold for your clients is up to date and allows for effective marketing campaigns.
