Below are some hints and tips when using email manager to make the most of your emails and engagement with clients:

Improve your send/open rate:

  • Send your email campaign from your salon address – a recognized email address will be more likely to attract the client’s attention and get them to read the email
  • Authenticate your domain – contact us to do this. By authenticating your domain it is a lot less likely that your email will arrive in the client’s junk/spam folder.
  • Give your campaign a catchy subject line – this is what will make your clients want to open the email, entice them to open the email!
  • Include text, do not simply do an image only campaign as these can get treated as spam

  • Make sure your clients know its from you
  • Follow your brand – If you have a colour theme, logo etc. use these when sending emails as clients will easily identify this is from you and are more likely to engage with the email
  • Salon contact information – If you’re a multisite include each salon’s details, this will save both you and the client time when they are trying to contact you.

When uploading images: Email manager currently supports images with dimensions of up to3500x3500pixel dimension

Make it interactive
  • Add buttons – Add a ‘book online’ button to your email, this will allow you to point people directly to your website to book.
  • Social Media – Attach social media handles such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter etc. These are available at the bottom of each template on the email manager. Before you send out an email make sure that these links work and take you to the correct site.

    Top Tips
  • Keep on top of your subscriber lists – check for hard bounces on the email analytics after sending, you will need to ask those with hard bounces for an up-to-date email address.
  • Keep in touch with your clients regularly – by engaging with clients on events, new team members, salon news etc. they are more likely to engage with you. Piggy back onto awareness days e.g. National Tea Day – have a competition on Facebook/Instagram
  • Break up text – nobody wants a load of text to read, jazz up the email with images or by using bullet points.

Remember that marketing emails are an additional cost of £5 per blast + 0.009p per email recipient e.g. a blast to 2000 clients will cost £23.
