This guide will show you how to connect your SalonIQ account with Colourstart and use Colourstart with your clients

Connect SalonIQ with Colourstart
You will firstly need to reach out to Colourstart and setup your account, once you have done this ask them for your Colourstart ID
Your Colourstart ID will need to be entered into SalonIQ to make the connection between the two platforms.
To connect SalonIQ to your Colourstart account please go to Menu > Settings > Salons > click on the Skin Test tab > Enter your Colourstart passport ID and then click on Verify > Click Save
Please note when you go back into the Skin Test tab your Passport ID will be saved with the word Verified. This is for security purposes and keeps your Colourstart Passport ID hidden.

Using Colourstart in SalonIQ
When making an appointment using Colourstart it is important to view the passport status for that client.
Open the client's record card and check the memo to view the current status.
There are 3 different statuses to look out for, please see each one below;
The status that gives you the thumbs up and the all clear to colour your client's hair is in green and reads - Colourstart: OK to Colour Hair
The status advising you to not colour your client's hair is in red and reads - Colourstart: Do Not Use Colourstart Or Colour Hair
This could be for a couple of reasons...
1. They have had a reaction to the Colourstart test
2. They have not passed the Colourstart questionnaire
The final status is advising you that the client needs to complete the Colourstart questionnaire and reads - Colourstart: Take Questionnaire
Booking an Appointment using Colourstart
Making your clients colour appointment as normal;
- Search for the client and select the services they would like to have
- Check the Colourstart status, you must ensure the status is in green reading Colourstart: OK to Colour Hair
When the status says Colourstart: Take Questionnaire - the client will be sent an invite to Colourstart to complete a questionnaire within their login.
As soon as they have completed the questionnaire and passed the status will change to Colourstart: OK to Colour Hair
Before checking out your your client
You will need to update the client's passport once you have coloured their hair and before you take their bill.
Before the client pays please open the client's record card > click on the Colourstart tab > Click REDEEM Colourstart PASSPORT. This will update the client's profile and record the colour appointment they have just had with you and then allow you to check out the client's bill.
The above screen shows an audit with a time date and stamp of each result pulled through from Colourstart.
After checkout
Once you have completed checkout, the client's Colourstart stats will change to Colourstart: Take Questionnaire (the client will receive an invite to complete the questionnaire on Colourstart before their next appointment. As soon as they have done this their status will update on the client record card on SalonIQ.

A client will need to share their Colourstart Passport with you before you can view the status of their passport.
To do this your client will need to login to their Colourstart Passport on the Colourstart portal, search for a salon and then click Share.
