IQ Best practice, tips and ideas for implementing the Guest Journey program into your salon successfully.

Converting new clients to regular clients is a must, by implementing a guest journey in SalonIQ you will demonstrate superior service and professionalism. Keeping your salon front of mind with the client

Best Practice

  1. Keep in mind the SMS cost. The length of the message is 7p per 160 characters used.
  2. Make full use of the merge fields available to you, these help to personalise your message to your clients.
  3. Use both SMS and Emails to your clients
  4. Send a test message to yourself before you send it to all to check it reads and displays as you want it to.
  5. Have all your social media links ready (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc)

This article will share some of our best tips and ideas to help when implementing the Guest Journey program.

Tips & Hints

  • Think about how best to contact your clients, do you have more mobile numbers compared to email addresses? It's always best to set up the communication method which reaches the most amount of clients.
  • How many times are YOU happy to be communicated with via SMS or Email - put yourself in the shoes of your client
  • What communications will engage your clients the most, what are your unique selling points of your salon?
  • Guest journey is a great way to upsell new services or advertise other treatments.
  • Always use the pre first visit email, it's a great way to inform your new client of any information they may not be aware of such as salon parking or parking location.
  • You can send us images to add to your Emails to make them even more engaging.
  • All emails can have Headers and Footers added to make match your business branding
  • Remember, you can set Emails or SMS to send out after any amount of time after the clients last visit, it does not always have to be the following day.
  • If you have more than one salon, you can set up Emails and SMS to different sites.
  • You can also see the data displayed on the left side of each active SMS / Email which shows the amount of SMS / Emails sent and the conversion to bookings stats.
  • Why not edit the Guest Journey communications dependent on the time of year.

Pre-First Visit Examples:

Dear Client First Name,

We are looking forward to seeing you in 2 days. At Salon Name, we do things a little differently...on your arrival, you will be seated and we will ask you to complete a form with your details. (Please feel free to 'opt out' of any promotions). Once you have chosen your refreshment, your stylist / therapist will begin your in depth consultation, discussing things that may affect your service such as *lifestyle *homecare routine *products *any problems that you would like addressing. Please take this opportunity to ask for advice and please feel free to share any pictures of your desired result. (hair only)

There is a choice of carparks nearby. The multi-story car park which from April will be priced at £2.00 for the whole day from 9am- 6pm or the Glassworks Car park 

 

As you are a first-time salon guest to Salon Name we have allocated a 1-hour slot so that your stylist has extra time to spend time on consultation to determine your needs and give you advice.

We offer a wide range of refreshments including special coffees and a choice of teas or perhaps you may simply want fresh cold water.

Your stylist will give you a Face-to-Face consultation, they will listen to your needs offering advice to help you choose a hair style which suits your face, features and lifestyle and will prescribe the correct shampoo, conditioner and styling products for your personal needs.

As far as we’re concerned, It’s all about you!

Once you have enjoyed a luxury shampoo, we will offer you a complimentary Head and Shoulder massage.

Your stylist will explain what they are doing during your service and will give you hints and tips on how to look after your hair at home to make it easy for you to style.

Throughout your service you will enjoy the benefits of the finest, professional styling products. These are available in our retail shop where you can choose from Kerastase, Bumble and bumble NYC, Windle Covent Garden, L’Oréal Serie Expert, and Tec Ni Art styling range.

We appreciate that sometimes unexpected situations occur, but we ask that you give us  48 hours notice.
