Summer SMS Campaign 2026
This article answers common questions about Week One of the Summer SMS Campaign. If you can't find what you need here, get in touch with the support team.
What is the Summer SMS Campaign?
It's a 6-week programme of targeted SMS campaigns designed to generate appointments, increase turnover and keep clients returning more often. Each week focuses on a different client group, so you're reaching a genuinely different audience as the campaign progresses rather than messaging the same clients repeatedly.
What is the focus for Week One?
Week One targets your active, top-spending clients who last visited more than 8 weeks ago and currently have no future appointment booked. These are valuable clients who already know and trust your salon - a timely reminder can be all it takes to bring them back before their routine slips further.
Who exactly should I be targeting this week?
Clients who meet all of the following:
- Fall within your Top Spenders in the Last 12 Months
- Last visited more than 8 weeks ago
- Have no future booking on file
How do I create my Week One client selection?
- Go to Menu > Intelligent Marketing > Client Selection > Add Selection
- Select Top Spenders in the Last 12 Months and enter a description for your own reference, e.g. Summer 2026 Week 1 - Top Spenders
- Edit the date range to More Than 8 Weeks Ago
- Add the No Future Bookings filter
- Select Save & Get Client Count
- Review your client selection, choose your SMS template and send your campaign

What SMS template should I use?
Use the pre-loaded Week One template in SalonIQ, already saved as a template - just select it. The recommended message is:
Hi [First name], it's been a little while! We'd love to welcome you back to [Salon name]. Book your next visit here: [Book online]

Why isn't there a discount in the message?
The campaign relies on timing and relevance rather than discounting. Clients act because the message feels personal and well-timed, not because it's cheap. This also protects your margins across the campaign.
What should I check before sending?
- Confirm the final SMS length in SalonIQ's own character counter (this can differ from a raw character count)
- Test the booking link
- Review the selected client list before sending
- Check there are no emojis, long dashes or special characters in the message text
What happens in Week Two?
A new client segment and message will follow next week as part of the same 6-week programme. Keep an eye on your email and the Facebook community group for details.
