This article will show you how to follow along with our 6 week Summer SMS campaign - keep your appointment book full over the summer.

Our 2025 Summer SMS campaign has landed!

Our SMS campaign has been carefully crafted to generate appointments, increase turnover and get clients spending more, more often.

How it works

The campaign will run for 6 weeks and will be a series of SMS blasts, each one targeting specific clients with a key message and action point. We will also be running the campaign for our own salon too.

Top Tips

Week 1

To kick week 1 off, we are going to focus on active top spending clients who had their last appointment with you more than 8 weeks ago and have no future booking.

 

Creating your selection

Menu > Intelligent Marketing > Client selection > Add selection > Top Spenders in the last 12 months > enter a description (This is for your reference only) Edit the filter Date Range and choose "more than 8 weeks ago" > Add filter ‘No future bookings’ > Click ‘Save & Get Client Count.’

 To kick week 2 off, we are going to look back to clients who visited your salon in Autumn/Winter 2024, but have not been into the salon in 2025 so far.

Creating your selection

Menu > Intelligent Marketing > Client selection > Add selection > Blank Template > enter a description (This is for your reference only) Select the 'Last Visit' filter > Edit the filter Date Range and choose 'Custom date range' > Select Start date 1st October 2024 and End date 31st December 2024 > Add filter ‘No future bookings’ > Click ‘Save & Get Client Count.’

Let's look at active clients who have purchased retail from you in the last 6 months. Our salon has 258 clients that we can connect with. 

 
Creating your selection

 
Menu > Intelligent Marketing > Client selection > Add selection > Select Template "Clients who have bought retail in the last 6 months". Click ‘Save & Get Client Count’

You could also flip this selection or send a second version to all clients who have not purchased retail from you by amending the selection to "Not Had Retail".

IQ Top Tips

  • When sending an SMS campaign please ensure you are aware of the length of the message and try to keep the message within 160 characters where you can.

  • Make full use of the merge fields available to you, these help to personalise your message to your clients. 

  • Have a second person read your message checking for spelling and grammar mistakes, you will be surprised what you miss by looking too much.

  • Send your SMS at around 8am in the morning.

  • Ensure you include a call to action; this means that you are telling your clients what to do with the message. i.e. Call 01234 567890 to book now, click here to book (include your web URL or Book Now merge field) 

  • Create some urgency behind the message to encourage your clients to take immediate action i.e. limited availability, only 10 bookings left, book before it’s too late, don’t miss out.
